Statement from Tim Hirst
I am reluctant, still, to make any detailed public statement about the situation with Anneke however I must address certain points, briefly.
Anneke and Hirst Books have parted company. This was initially amicable. Discussions are ongoing as to how best draw a line under the relationship, via a third party (Network) and hopefully everything will soon be resolved to everyone's satisfaction.
Anneke's Facebook page makes reference to outstanding orders for her books. We can confidently state that all orders for 'Self Portrait' and 'Naked' have been fulfilled - this includes all orders up to the middle of September when the books were removed from this website. If anyone has ordered something and not received it I would urge them to contact me directly, on tim@hirstbooks.com, and I will look into it, but we are certain that there are no outstanding orders on these titles.
Once this situation is resolved I may divulge more information about the circumstances leading to it, but for now, I hope you respect my decision to keep discussions behind closed doors.
In the meantime it's business as usual at Hirst Publishing - we have some exciting new titles coming, and are planning a relaunch for 2012.
