Douglas Schofield was raised and educated in British Columbia, Canada, where he earned degrees in History (Simon Fraser University) and Law (University of British Columbia). Over the past thirty years, he has worked as trial lawyer in Canada, Bermuda and – since 1999 – in the Cayman Islands. He currently holds the position of Assistant Solicitor General in the Cayman Islands Government.
Although Doug has dabbled at creative writing for many years, Flight Risks was his first completed novel-length manuscript. He gives full credit to his wife Melody’ steadfast encouragement for helping him finally reach that milestone.
