Another great read - Blake sanders - 24/08/2011 01:02:04
Do aliens read sci-fi? This is the second instalment in the Truxxe Trilogy, from Ruth Wheeler. When Tom Bowlers friend Raphyl is accused of a crime he didn't commit, Tom and his friends feel that must free him from the prison planet of Porriduum. Oh yeah, did I mention, its inescapable?!Another great book, with what seems be be Ruth's trademark style, of a fast paced narrative combined with brilliant details of alien worlds. We have returning characters and elements from her debut novel, and these sit nicely with an ever expanding universe I still feel that the ambitious scale of these book and in particular DARSF, scream out for big-screen adaptation, and stand by my previous assertion that these books could b huge.Ruth has also claimed the title of 'Queen Of The Cliffhanger' yet again closing the book leaving us begging for more. Can't wait for the third volume of this outstanding saga!

I read All Aliens Like Burgers...and it was so much fun...so I had to get this second book in Ruth's trilogy, "Do Aliens Read Sci-Fi?" This book is just pure sci-fi fun!! I recommend it for any fan of science, sci-fi, geekery, and porridge. Ruth is very clever...I love the images I get when reading her books...and the ideas she comes up with!! I can NOT wait for the third book!!

Do Aliens Read Sci-Fi? - Alex Shewan - 08/04/2012 14:05:05
After reading the brilliant "All Aliens Like Burgers", I had to read the second book in the trilogy; I was not disappointed! Having already established the characters in the first novel, this one is straight into the story. It is fast paced and packed full of wonderful images and characters that really capture the imagination. Ruth Wheeler is an intelligent writer and is very much in tune with her audience. The narrative kept me engaged from beginning to end and made me want to read more about the adventures of Tom Bowler and the inhabitants of Truxxe. I am very much looking forward to the next instalment. Thank you, Ruth, for such an entertaining book.
