If you are a fan of Doctor who or just a fan of Biographies this is the book for you. It starts from his fathers early days to life during the war to his great acting career. Right up to his untimely Death. Michael the Author tells of his life growing up with DR WHO as his father and let's out the secret that Pat tried to keep secret from his mother and the public. From reading the first page I found it difficult to put this book down I recommend this book to everybody in fact it would make the ideal Christmas present and to give it a score out of 10 it would have to be 20. I must also thank the author for writing this book . You did a great job Michael Troughton Thank You

A carefully researched and thoughtful biography of Dad's life. Only Michael perhaps, of all Dad's children, could have written such an even handed book. Even I hadn't quite realised what a very ambitious and driven actor Dad was.

A superbly written book, with plenty of interesting anecdotes. A very fair account of the life of a very talented and complex person.
